Lexington, Kentucky – Attorney

I practice personal injury and workers’ compensation law. In the past several years, I have successfully represented three grieving families in pedestrian wrongful death cases. I have also represented plaintiffs in several major product liability cases, brain injury cases and many workers’ compensation cases. In addition, I litigate business and contract disputes.

Before founding the Clark, Cornett and Smith law firm, I was an Assistant Attorney General for Kentucky. I helped the state recover $45 million from an insurance company and developed the skills necessary to build a strong, clear case around a few core facts. Afterwards, I returned to my hometown of Lexington and opened an office in 2003.

A lot has changed since I opened the office. At first, I was the lawyer, the receptionist, and the cleaning staff. With consistently good results, however, the practice has grown, and we now have four premier attorneys handling a wide variety of legal needs. My father, attorney Bennett Clark, came out of retirement to join us, and working with him has been a tremendous professional privilege. Great results and a great reputation have been our best advertising. Clients know they can expect informed and efficient representation from our accessible attorneys.

I have deep roots in the Bluegrass. The History Center in Frankfort is named after my grandfather, Kentucky Historian Laureate Dr. Thomas D. Clark. I love the intellectual challenges the law presents, and I welcome your call.
